Nominate Yourself for election
If you want to stand as a candidate in the Blaby District Youth Council elections, make sure that you are eligible by reading the following information, then download and return the completed nomination form. Make your voice heard, nominate yourself for election now! Your Voice, Your Blaby!
The rules:
- To apply to be a Blaby District Youth Councillor you must be aged between 11 – 18 and live in the Blaby District.
- To apply you must have the consent of your parent/guardian and teacher if you are in education.
- Your completed nomination form must be returned, along with 10 supporting signatures no later than Friday 3 April 2009. The address for returning your nomination is available on the form.
- By nominating yourself for election as a Youth Councillor you agree to adhere to the rules of the election and associated nomination guidelines.
- There will be workshops for candidates to attend to assist them in preparing for the campaign and elections.
